The Rogue Gets a New Look

As if we couldn’t love the 2017 Nissan Rogue more, Nissan took it to the next level when it announced the Rogue Sport at the North American International Auto Show in January. Its bold, sporty look took the market by storm.

“The new Rogue Sport is a perfect addition to the red-hot Rogue lineup, which is also adding a first-ever Rogue Hybrid model for 2017,” said Michael Bunce, vice president of product planning for Nissan North America, Inc. “With the Rogue Sport’s slightly smaller dimensions and sporty maneuverability, it’s ideal for singles or couples without kids—or empty nesters—who want a sportier vehicle and can live with a little less cargo capacity than the current Rogue offers.”

2018 Models Offer Automatic Emergency Braking

A projected one million models will come standard with Automatic Emergency Braking—no matter the grade. This includes the Rogue/Rogue Sport, Altima, Murano, LEAF, Pathfinder, Maxima, and Sentra. The braking uses radar technology to monitor your vehicle’s proximity to the vehicle ahead. Drivers will be alerted by audible and visual display warnings to help reduce their speed in case a potential frontal collision is detected. If the driver fails to respond, the system can apply the brakes, which will help avoid the collision or at least reduce the speed of impact.

Nissans Can Remind You to Check Your Backseat

Nissan is working to make their cars safer, and that includes when they’re parked, too. The Rear Door Alert system was introduced to help achieve this goal. A door sensor logic knows if a rear door was opened. If the driver walks away without reopening a rear door, the Nissan will honk as a reminder. This is especially important in the summer when the interior temperatures reach dangerous levels. Currently available on 2018 Nissan Pathfinders, this feature will be integrated in other models in coming years.

The 2018 Nissan LEAF Makes Its Debut

At last, the all-new 2018 Nissan LEAF was unveiled in Tokyo in September and is expected to hit lots this January. Talk about starting 2018 off right! The LEAF sets a new standard for the electric vehicles currently available with its increased range, ProPILOT Assist technology, e-Pedal, and comfort and convenience.
